Using your 3rd party shipping system or shopping cart
If you have a 3rd party shipment system or use a shopping cart to send tracking emails to your customers, you can also use those tools to enter shipments into your GreenShipping account. The easiest way to get tracking numbers into your GreenShipping account is with your GreenShipping email address. To find that email address for your account, go to the Shipment Preferences page. While on that page, also be sure that "Accept Tracking Numbers By Email" is set to "yes" and that the email addresses you will be sending tracking numbers from are added into your "Approved Shippers" list.
Shopping Cart Integration:
The easiest way to use your shopping cart to enter your shipments into your GreenShipping account, is to blind carbon copy (BCC) your GreenShipping email address when you send out the shipment confirmation email, containing the tracking number(s), to your customers. The tracking number(s) from those emails will automatically be stripped out and inserted into your GreenShipping account. This method ensures that all your shipments are entered, regardless of the carrier that was used for each shipment. The rest of the email message is immediately discarded at our server.
If your shopping cart does not have an option to send emails to additional addresses, then you may have to modify the shopping card code to send the extra email. If that is the case, the easiest way is typically to find and duplicate the line of code where the customer email is sent and modify the second line to send the email to the GreenShipping email address instead. 3rd Party Shipment System Integration:
Many 3rd party shipment systems have the ability to send tracking numbers via email. Simply set the system to send tracking emails to your GreenShipping email address.
